在Fedora 14下安装Firefox 4

相对此前版本的火狐浏览器，Firefox 4 号称比 3.x 提高 6 倍浏览速度，优化了启动与页面加载时间，支持硬件加速，新增标签组，网页应用快捷方式，原生的数据同步功能，新的扩展管理界面。以及更好的隐私保护，可选择不被广告代码跟踪，支持 HSTS… 新的设备同步功能很不错，设置 Firefox4 与你的手机版 Firefox 同步后，你可以在手机中打开电脑上未关闭的标签页。当然书签，密码，首选项，历史记录，标签页都是可以同步的。数据在 Firefox 官方，支持自定义服务器。

下面说说在Fedora 14下安装Firefox 4的过程

首先切换到root用户

su

安装remi源

rpm -Uvh http://rpms.famillecollet.com/remi-release-14.rpm

安装Firefox 4

yum –enablerepo remi install firefox4

注意这会直接升级系统里的Firefox 3 旧版本到Firefox 4，而不是像很多文章里说的和Firefox 3共存。

    yum –enablerepo remi install firefox4完了没反应，我还是乖乖把enabled改成1吧……％

    直接上官方网站下载二进制包解压创建启动器运行也可以，只是不能自动更新罢了
